If you apply to be a volunteer but are unsuccessful Veeda will not enter your personal details on the database and will destroy any paper record (application form) straight away.
Successful applicants will be registered on the electronic database.
Veeda will keep your details electronically and on paper for 7 years, whether you participate in a clinical trial or not. However any data recorded as part of a clinical trial is kept for at least 15 years; it could be longer if the drug is marketed, this is stipulated by the government body, known as the MHRA, which governs clinical trials in the UK.
If you do not wish to be a volunteer any longer Veeda will keep your personal details in the database for 7 years but will shred any paper records straight away.
